Keywords Introductory Plenary Lecture, by Stephen Heath (Jesus College, Cambridge) noon-1:30 PM in 501-CL

As part of this year's CLST Distinguished Lecture Series on the Keywords theme that runs concurrently with the Annual Common Seminar Colloquium, Stephen Heath, Professor of English and French Literature and Culture, Jesus College Cambridge, will provide his unique insights on keywords, from his perspective as one of Williams’ most prolific students. Among his books are, The Nouveau Roman (1972); Vertige du déplacement (1974); Questions of Cinema (1981); The Sexual Fix (1984), Gustave Flaubert, Madame Bovary (1992); and César (2004).  Introductions and discussion by this year's CLST Common Seminar Instructors Jonathan Arac and Colin MacCabe, Arjuna Parakrama (formerly, University of Peradeniya), and the other two Distinguished Lecturers, Harriet Ritvo (MIT), and Alan Durant (Middlesex University).
