CHANGE OF VENUE: Annual CLST Open House and Common Seminar Inaugural Lecture with Terry Smith, in 602-CL, 5:30-7:30

CLST student and faculty, and fellow travelers are cordially invited to the Annual CLST Open House and 2019 Common Seminar Inaugural Lecture, this year given by Terry Smith, Andrew W Mellon Professor of Contemporary Art History and Theory, Henry Clay Frick Department of the History of Art and Architecture, at the University of Pittsburgh.  Professor Smith is the author several books, most recently Art to Come: Histories of Contemporary Art (Duke UP 2019).  The Seminar topic he will introduce is entitled, WHAT IS THE WORLD’S QUESTION? LONG HISTORIES, CONCURRENT POLITICS. Read more about the seminar here.

We will hold a reception at 5:00-5:30 PM, in the 5th Floor foyer in front of CL 602.  Food and wine will be served, so only graduate students and faculty may attend this part of the event.  The event will kick off with a rollout of Spring 2020 CLST-crosslisted courses.
